Provided are a light source device, a light source unit, and a projector, whereby high light output can be obtained, while reducing a temperature increase. The present invention relates to a light source device that is provided with: a light emitting device that outputs first light and second light; a first light separation element that separates the first light into a first luminous flux and a second luminous flux; a second light separation element that separates the second light into a third luminous flux and a fourth luminous flux; at least one phosphor layer that includes a first fluorescence output section, to which the first luminous flux is inputted, and a second fluorescence output section, to which the third luminous flux is inputted; and at least one diffusion section that includes a first diffusion light output section, to which the second luminous flux is inputted, and a second diffusion light output section, to which the fourth luminous flux is inputted. |
