Provided are an array substrate and a preparation method therefor. The array substrate comprises a substrate (1), a TFT layer (2) disposed on the substrate (1), a quantum dot layer (3) disposed on the TFT layer (2), and a protection filter layer (4) disposed on the quantum dot layer (3). With the arrangement of the quantum dot layer (3), the coloration insufficiency of an existing color filter layer is remedied, and a display color gamut range is expanded. With the arrangement of the protection filter layer (4), the problems of poor efficiency and poor instability of quantum dots in the prior art are resolved.
