Provided are a method and system for granting a speaking right. In the method provided in the present invention, since the extended activate dedicated EPS bearer context request sent to the terminal by the core network comprises speaking right grant information and multimedia information, i.e. while well establishing a bearer for uplink and downlink air interface messages of the terminal, the core network actively grants a speaking right to the terminal, the terminal can determine that the core network has granted the speaking right when receiving the extended activate dedicated EPS bearer context request, and switches into a speaking right state immediately according to the multimedia information; the core network does not need to send, to the terminal, a call accept message or a speaking right grant message carrying speaking right information, and the terminal also does not need to return, to the core network, a call accept message or a speaking right grant ack message. This reduces the number of times of sending air interface messages and reduces the time delay for granting a speaking right. |
