The present invention relates to an artificial framework block (1) for a dike for protecting sea or river coasts. Said artificial shell block comprises an outer concrete shell (2), preferably having the general shape of a parallelepiped and specifically a cube, comprising: a first portion (10) including a plurality of walls (11a, 11b, 11c, 11d, 11e) that define a chamber (12) and an opening (13) leading into the chamber (12), a second portion (20) including a wall (21) for closing the opening (13) leading into the chamber (12), and a ballast (40) placed in the chamber (12). The apparent density of the material(s) used to form the ballast (40) is greater than or equal to the apparent density of the material(s) used to form the outer shell (2). |
