The present invention provides a method and device for sending information. The method comprises: sending, by utilizing a contention unit, a contention signal of a current user equipment (UE), the contention signal being used for contenting for a data unit, used for sending user data information, for the current UE; monitoring whether there is a contention signal of another UE on the contention unit or not; and if a monitoring result shows that there is not a contention signal of another UE on the contention unit, sending, by the data unit that is obtained by means of contention using the contention signal of the current UE, the user data information that needs to be sent by the current UE. The present invention resolves the problem of half-duplex caused by independent and random communication resource selection of a UE in the related art as well as the problem of resource conflict, thereby achieving the effect that the UE selects orthogonal communication resources so as to avoid the problem of half-duplex and the problem of resource conflict. |
