1. A semiconductor device comprising:
an operation unit; a clock generating unit configured to generate an operation clock to be supplied to the operation unit based on a control signal, the control signal controlling an operating frequency of the operation unit; a temperature sensor configured to measure a temperature of the semiconductor device; a reference temperature calculating unit configured to calculate a reference temperature based on an idle power and a leakage power; and a mode determination unit configured to:
determine a power mode based on the temperature of the semiconductor device and the reference temperature, the power mode comprising one of a first mode which sets the operating frequency of the operation clock to be a first operating frequency and a second mode which sets the operating frequency of the operation clock to be a second operating frequency; andoutput the control signal according to the power mode to the clock generating unit.
