A flush toilet is provided with: a toilet bowl; a rim which forms the peripheral edge of the upper end opening of the toilet bowl; a first rim water discharge opening 34L formed in the inner peripheral wall of the rim; and a first rim water passage 36L formed on the outer peripheral side of the toilet bowl and supplying flush water to the first rim water discharge opening 34L. The first rim water passage 36L has a bend 42 which conducts flush water so that the flow direction of the flush water will be bent from one side in the circumferential direction of the toilet bowl to the other side, and a portion of a forward passage 44 interconnected with the bend 42 and a portion of a return passage 46 are arranged next to each other in the vertical direction. |
