According to the present invention, by using feed rods for moving a spindle (160, 260) and a table (130, 230) relative to each other, a spindle-side component and a table-side component are positioned close to one another in at least two positions, and the respective current positions of the feed rods corresponding to the at least two positions are obtained. A 3D model surface is then generated using the obtained at least two current positions of the feed rods as reference points, and the generated surface is translated in a predetermined direction, thereby generating, on a machine tool (100, 200), a 3D model that is to be used in an interference simulation for determining whether there is interference between the spindle-side component and the table-side component. |
