The present invention is an adhesive composition for optical communication that comprises: a compound (A) comprising a silicon-containing group capable of reacting with an aromatic ring; a (meth)acrylic compound (B) comprising a cationically polymerizable functional group and a (meth)acryloyloxy group; a radical generator; and a cation generator that generates cations at least by heat.
