The embodiments of the present invention provide an adapter and an adapter upgrade method, said adapter comprising: a radio frequency unit, used for receiving, by means of an antenna, firmware upgrade data sent by a server; a microprocessing unit (MCU), used for upgrading the firmware according to the firmware upgrade data received by the radio frequency unit; a charging interface, used for charging a terminal. In the embodiments of the present invention, the adapter comprises the radio frequency unit and the antenna, and thus may communicate with the server by means of networking to obtain updated firmware upgrade data and upgrade the firmware; that is, in the embodiments of the present invention, the MCU firmware upgrade of the adapter is completed by means of networking, preventing the problem in the prior art of having to return the adapter to the factory when the issue of a software bug arises; user satisfaction is thus improved. |
