A method for implementing listen-before-talk (LBT) comprises: a station perform detection on whether an unlicensed carrier is clear during a specific clear channel assessment (CCA) time slot of an initial CCA stage; if not, then generate a random backoff value; and then the station perform detection on whether the unlicensed carrier is clear in a first delay period, and if so, then the station determines whether the random backoff value is equal to 0, wherein a duration of the first delay period is [16+9×(n+k)] μs, n is an integer greater than or equal to 1, k is an integer greater than or equal to 0, and if n = 1, then k = 1. By using the above solution, the present invention allows the station to perform the step of determining whether the random backoff value is 0 only if the unlicensed carrier is clear during the first delay period, and the first delay period 34 μs with n equal to 1, thus enabling unbiased competition with a WiFi system. |
