Embodiments of the present invention provide a data transmission method, and a method and device for sending indication information. The data transmission method comprises: determining a listen before talk (LBT) mechanism and LBT parameters, the LBT mechanism comprising a way adopted for performing LBT, and the LBT parameters comprising parameters adopted when the LBT is performed; performing resource contention on an unlicensed carrier according to the determined LBT mechanism and the LBT parameters; and transmitting data on resources obtained by means of contention.
