To provide an information processing device, an information processing method and a program with which it is possible to execute a process on the basis of a rotation operation whereby a user is able to rotate an operating body easily. This information processing device is provided with a process executing unit which executes a prescribed process on the basis of a detection result of a rotation operation in which a first part of an operating body is determined to be in a state of contact or proximity to an operating surface and in this state a second part of the operating body, different from the first part, is moved in such a way as to describe a trajectory having a larger radius of rotation about a prescribed axis than the first part.
