The present invention provides a device-to-device communication station discovery method, a first station, a second station, and access points so as to improve device-to-device communication station discovery efficiency and avoid contention between multiple stations which respectively initiate a device-to-device communication station discovery process. The method of the present invention comprises: a first station obtains a discovery resource from an access point, the discovery resource being used for the device-to-device link transmission; the first station broadcasts a discovery trigger frame on the discovery resource, the discovery trigger frame being used to trigger the second station to send to the first station a discovery response frame used to respond to the discovery trigger frame, and the first station and the second station both having device-to-device communication capacities; the first station receives the discovery response frame sent by at least one second station, and identifies at least one second station as its own device-to-device communication station.
