The invention relates to a stand for determination of lower and upper explosive limits, intended for the characterization of flammable liquids from the viewpoint of explosivity. According to the invention, the stand comprises an assembly consisting of an explosion vessel (25), temperature-controlled at the liquid boiling temperature, where the initial pressure and temperature conditions can be set at values in the range of 0.4 bar...2 bar, and of 20°C...400°C, respectively, and the ignition source is an electric spark or an incandescent wire, where the explosion vessel (25) is provided with temperature transducers (12, 15), pressure transducer (7), optical sight (4), metal electrodes (9) for the ignition source, an external device (16, 23) for the balance of the explosion vessel, aiming at the internal homogenization of the air-vapour mixture, a digital pressure gauge (6), some valves (5, 13) for the intake of flammable liquid samples, for achieving the initial pressure conditions, for discharging the reaction products, for explosion vessel blow-down, as well as other related devices: a power supply source for the thermal jacket of the explosion vessel (19), spark generation source (21), a video camera (26) for recording the explosion, an amplifier with digital oscilloscope coupled to a PC for registering the explosion pressure, a vacuum/ compressed-air pump (22). |
