[Class 106 (iv).] Illuminating means for the dial of an indicating instrument such as a turn indicator for use on aircraft comprises a lamp 6 mounted in an opaque casing 7 located at a distance from the centre of the dial 1 greater than that of the windows 2 of the dial to be illuminated. Light from the lamp is passed through an aperture 4 in the lamp support 5 to an opaque casing 3 with two channels having apertures disposed behind the dial windows. To facilitate reflection the casing 3 has an inclined surface which may be painted or otherwise treated. |
