The invention discloses a method for digital printing in quantity, comprising the steps of providing a conveying unit (1) adapted to convey printing substrates (10), setting a running velocity (V1), providing a digital printer (2), providing a graphics file (F1) as input to the digital printer (2) representing a motif to be reproduced on the printing substrates (10) at a predefined resolution (RIS_pred), calculating a decoration frequency (fd) for printing with decorative inks (Idi) as a function of the predefined resolution (RIS_pred) and of the running velocity (V1), calculating single material printing frequencies (fmi) for each one of the material inks (Imi), calculating a synchronized printing frequency (fM), calculating a scaling factor (Dd, Dmi: 1 =1..n), calculating an actual printing frequency (fmi) as a function of the scaling factors (Dd, Dmi: i=1..n), calculating an actual printing resolution (RIS_eff) as a function of the actual frequency (fmi) of material to be deposited and of the running velocity (VI), and printing on the printing substrates (10) at the actual printing resolution (RIS_eff). The invention further discloses a system for digital printing in quantity and a digital printer (2) for printing in quantity. |
