A method for controlling home appliances and a smart wristband (1000, 2000). Detecting a user operating command for at least one home appliance amongst a plurality of home appliances, and searching for a control command corresponding to the operating command; and, on the basis of the control command, controlling said at least one home appliance; the unified and convenient control of a plurality of home appliances by means of a smart wristband (1000, 2000) is thereby implemented, without requiring the use of a plurality of switches or remote controllers.
