Provided are a channel quality indicator (CQI) determination system and method in coordinated multiple point communication for enabling a UE to report an accurate CQI to a base station in coordinated multi-point communication without increasing downlink pilot signal overheads. The method comprises: receiving, by a UE, scheduling information transmitted by a base station, wherein the scheduling information comprises first information configured to instruct the UE to measure an instantaneous CQI value in an nth subframe and report the instantaneous CQI value in an n+Kth subframe, n is a positive integer, K is a predetermined value, and the nth subframe is a subframe where the base station performs coordinated multi-point (CoMP) transmission scheduling for the UE; and measuring, by the UE, the instantaneous CQI value in the nth subframe, and reporting the instantaneous CQI value to the base station in the n+Kth subframe. |
