Provided in embodiments of the present invention are an optical network unit (ONU) registration method, device and system. The ONU registration method comprises: an ONU port scans a downlink wavelength channel, wherein the ONU port is one port of a plurality ports on the ONU; the ONU port receives a discovery authorization message from an optical line terminal (OLT), wherein the discovery authorization message comprises a channel identifier of a downlink wavelength channel where the discovery authorization message resides; the ONU port sends a registration request message to the OLT, wherein the registration request message comprises a port number of the ONU port; and the ONU port receives a registration message from the OLT, wherein the registration message comprises the port number of the ONU port and an ONU logical identifier of the ONU port allocated by the OLT. The embodiment of the present invention provides a high-efficiency ONU registration mechanism by receiving a discovery authorization from an OLT through an ONU port, sending a registration request to the OLT and receiving an allocated ONU logical identifier of the ONU port from the OLT, and performs management and maintenance of the ONU on the basis of the ONU port, such that the ONU can support more bandwidth channels and the bandwidth can be increased. |
