A balancing weight (10;20;30;40;51,52,53;60;70;71) for balancing a wheel of a vehicle has a body of non-ferromagnetic material providing a major portion of the balancing weight's mass and a ferromagnetic inlay (14,15;54,55,56;65;75) for holding the balancing weight by magnetic force. The ferromagnetic inlay provides a minor portion of the balancing weight's mass. A weight applicator (80) has a magnet (82) for interacting with the ferromagnetic inlay of the balancing weight and holding the balancing weight. |
