The device (1) has a recess (2) for receiving a shaft (3), in a predetermined angle position on shaft, comprising multiple mountings (5) for receiving a function element (4). The mountings are positioned such that recesses of function elements lie on a common straight line. The mountings are arranged vertically on top of one another, so that common straight line runs in vertical direction, and a vertically moveable guide carriage (8) for shaft is provided. The guide carriage is configured for joining the shaft with the function elements in vertical direction. Each mounting is equipped with molding (6) establishing predetermined angle position of respective function element corresponding to angle position on shaft. The mountings are partially formed from an inductively non-heatable material. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for thermally joining shaft with multiple function elements; and (2) a positioning assembly.
