The present invention relates to the use of an adhesive composition to improve adhesion between an extended tubular article and a corrosion protective system, wherein the adhesive composition comprises a polyolefin blend, wherein the polyolefin blend comprises 50 % to 100 % by weight of a polyisobutene and 0 % to 50 % by weight of one or more olefin polymers, based on the total weight of the polyolefin blend, wherein the polyisobutene has one or more of the following properties: a glass transition temperature of lower than -50°C, a number average molecular weight M n of 5.000 to 1.000.000, a molecular weight distribution M w /M n of between 1 to 10, a surface tension of less than 40 mN/m at 20°C, or a density between 0.90 to 0.95 g/cm 3 . |
