A seat docking apparatus suitable for interchangeably mounting different seats to a carriage comprises a support 14 for connection to the carriage, a dock 12 connected to the support, and a seat adapter 110 connectable to the dock 12. The seat adapter 110 includes dock connection means (116, fig. 1B) on one side and seat connection means 112 on another side. The dock 12 or seat adapter 110 includes locking means 54 for locking the seat adapter 110 and dock 12 together, and the seat adapter 110 includes further locking means 114 connectable with the seat 100, for locking the seat adapter 110 and seat 100 together. The dock connection means on the adapter (116, fig.1B) preferably comprises a projection which is received in an undercut (50, fig 2A) on the dock. |
