The cable assembly (100) has a sleeve portion (101) that is provided with a receiving opening (102). A cable (110) is provided with an end portion (111). The end portion is arranged in the receiving opening. An adhesive (130) is arranged in the receiving opening to provide an adhesive connection between the cable and the sleeve portion. The receiving opening is provided with a cylindrical section. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a cable assembly.
