摘要 A method of laying a seed layer on a substrate from which nanostructuros are to be grown by flexographic or gravure printing. The nanostructures can be nanowires, and the seed layer can be ZnO nanocrystals, which are formed by annealing the printed solution. The nanostructures can be grown using a hydrothermal growth technique. The solution for the seed layer can be provided as an ink. The seed layer may be grown into nanowires, which can be used in a device. This device may be a gas sensor, photovoltaic device, a chemical sensor, a biological sensor, a field emission device or a field effect transistor.
