The invention relates to a method for determining the central systolic blood pressure of a patient, said method comprising the following steps: determining a peripheral, in particular brachial blood-pressure curve; applying a moving-average filter to the blood-pressure curve; applying an all-pass filter to the blood-pressure curve; and determining the central systolic blood pressure as a maximum of the all-pass- and moving-average-filtered blood- pressure curve. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out this method. |
