Provided are an endoscope system, an image processing apparatus, and an image processing method with which a high-resolution enhanced image can be obtained without amplifying noise even when a subject is irradiated with narrow-band illumination light. This endoscope system 1 includes an extraction unit 412 which extracts components of narrow-band light obtained at least from green light from pixel values generated from each of a plurality of pixels, said extraction being carried out by subtracting, from a pixel value obtained from the pixel with the least sensitivity to blue light, which constitutes the narrow-band light, among a plurality of pixels with sensitivity to blue light, a pixel value obtained from a pixel with high sensitivity to blue wavelength light multiplied by a coefficient with an absolute value less than or equal to 1. |
