COMBINATION THERAPY FOR TREATING HEMORRHAGIC SHOCK AND THE CONSEQUENCES OF CRANIOCEREBRAL TRAUMA

The invention relates to medicine and can be used in the pharmaceutical industry, and relates to the combined use of an antifibrinolytic and a substance which has SERPING1 activity to treat a condition affecting a mammal's body, which is accompanied by one or more adverse events, selected from the following: coagulation, fibrinolysis disorder, oedema, blood loss, or similar phenomena which occur in the event of head trauma and hemorrhagic shock, by means of elimination and/or reduction of the intensity of said phenomena. Tranexamic, aminomethylbenzoic or -aminocaproic acid, and also a functional analogue thereof, can be used as an antifibrinolytic. The invention makes it possible to considerably reduce mortality as a result of hemorrhagic shock, blood loss, or to reduce brain oedema, or to reduce or eliminate neurological disorders, behavioural problems and cognitive disorders, which can be caused by head trauma.
