Disclosed are an identity authentication method and device, which are applied to a system composed of a server and a terminal device containing a pre-set standard interface, wherein the pre-set standard interface is used for communicating with a service application of a dedicated type. By using the present solution, when it is necessary to perform identity authentication, a server can request service authentication information about an account of a service application of a dedicated type from a terminal device via a pre-set standard interface, and the terminal device can verify the security of this process via a corresponding verification rule, and feed the service authentication information locally saved in advance back to the server for subsequent processing only when verification is passed, thereby guaranteeing the security of an identity authentication process by means of the pre-set standard interface bound with the service application of the dedicated type and security verification of the terminal device itself, and enhancing the participation sense of a terminal device operator in this process by means of identity authentication information saved in the present terminal device. |
