An optical fiber cable includes: a core grouping a plurality of units that groups a plurality of optical fibers; a pair of strengthening members arranged opposite each other with the core sandwiched therebetween; and an exterior jacket for collectively covering the core and the pair of strengthening members. The unit is twisted to form a plurality of layers. The plurality of layers includes a first layer having an SZ twisted unit and a second layer having an SZ twisted unit. The first layer and the second layer have mutually opposite twisting directions in at least a portion along the length direction of the cable.
