A method of requesting help by a device and responding to a device help request, and device. The method of requesting help by a device comprises: a first device performs device failure detection or device environment detection; process the detected device failure data or device environment data to determine whether help from a second device is needed; and if so, then send a help request to the second device. The method can autonomously send a help request when a result of device failure detection or device environment detection indicates that help from another device is needed, thus simplifying a process of device failure handling, and significantly improving the efficiency of fixing a device problem. The method of responding to a device help request comprises: a second device receives a help request from a first device (201); determine whether the requested help can be provided (202); and respond to the help request according to the determination result (203). Said method enables automatic responding to a help request from other devices without manual intervention and scheduling, thus effectively improving the efficiency of help providing between devices. |
