This is a product pertaining to the field of health and hospitals. Proposed is a novel stent with a balloon coupled thereto for endovascular neurosurgery, for embolization of cerebral aneurysms, comprised of a single device which is inserted into the patient, releasing the stent into the artery and inflating the balloon directly at the neck of and/or inside the cerebral aneurysm, resulting in the complete occlusion thereof. The model in question provides much greater safety, simplicity and convenience to the medical professional and also to the patient, as well as making it possible for the procedure to be carried out and completed in less time, thus decreasing the risk of morbidity and mortality. The present model of a stent with a balloon pre-coupled thereto is intended to provide innovation to the medical sector, and more specifically to the field of surgery, by offering a professional technical improvement which, by way of the device in question, permits an improvement in the performance and mode/type of treatment of cerebral aneurysm, resulting in faster treatment, reduced surgery time, reduced costs, manipulability, reproducibility, reduced risks and complications, and better recovery and wound healing, among other benefits. |
