1. A method, comprising:
receiving, at a user equipment (UE), a public warning system (PWS) message; determining, at the UE, that the PWS message is a type 2 PWS message, wherein the type 2 PWS message indicates that type 2 PWS data associated with the PWS message is delivered via a type 2 PWS data delivery mechanism, the PWS message includes a message identifier in a header of the PWS message, and wherein the determining at the UE that the PWS message is a type 2 PWS message comprises detecting that the message identifier equals a predetermined value; determining that the PWS message includes at least one of a network identifier, a frequency identifier, or a cell identifier; in response to determining that the PWS message including at least one of a network identifier, a frequency identifier, or a cell identifier, selecting a public land mobile network (PLMN) based on the at least one of a network identifier, a frequency identifier, or a cell identifier in the PWS message; and receiving the type 2 PWS data using the type 2 PWS data delivery mechanism and the selected PLMN. |
