A self-luminous display and a display method for a self-luminous display. The display comprises: a main controller for adjusting a display size of an original image, so that the original image in the display screen comprises an image display region and a black-edge region located at upper and lower sides of the image display region, and determining a grey-scale voltage of each pixel circuit (1031, 1032, 1033, 1034, 1035) in the black-edge region according to a working voltage of the pixel circuit (1031, 1032, 1033, 1034, 1035) in the image display region in the display screen; a drive circuit for outputting the grey-scale voltage to the pixel circuit (1031, 1032, 1033, 1034, 1035) in the black-edge region; and the pixel circuit (1031, 1032, 1033, 1034, 1035) for operating under the grey-scale voltage, wherein a light-emitting device (1035) in the pixel circuit (1031, 1032, 1033, 1034, 1035) does not emit light. By enabling a working voltage of a pixel in a black-edge region to tend to be consistent with a working voltage of a pixel in an image display region, an ageing rate of the black-edge region and an ageing rate of the image display region tend to be consistent, thereby improving the image display quality. |
