The invention relates to the use of LPS for induction of the CD4+CD25+FoxP3+ regulatory T cells in conditions or diseases associated with an excessive immune response of an organism caused by gastrointestinal disorders, in particular selected from a group of non-specific inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and/or food allergies, in a particular dosing regimen, and optionally in composition with D-tartaric acid.
