An inverter detects irregularities in the sequence of power-supply phases connected to a three-phase power supply line. An inverter substrate (100A) is provided with three input terminals (5r, 5s, 5t) connected to the three phases of the power supply line (1r, 1s, 1t), a pair of DC buses (LH, LL), a rectifier circuit (2), an inverter (4), a current detector (3t), and a voltage detector (8). The rectifier circuit (2) has three input terminals (2r, 2s, 2t) corresponding to the input terminals (5r, 5s, 5t), and applies DC voltage to the DC buses (LH, LL), the DC voltage being obtained by rectifying the AC voltage applied to the input terminals (2r, 2s, 2t). The inverter (4) converts the DC voltage to a different AC voltage (Vu, Vv, Vw) and outputs the AC voltage. The current detector (3t) detects the load current (It) flowing in the input terminal (2t). The voltage detector (8) detects the line voltage (Vrs) between the input terminals (5r, 5s). |
