Provided is a secondary battery or the like capable of increasing the number of times charging and discharging can be performed before fading occurs. The secondary battery 100 is provided with: a secondary battery cell 110, i.e. a secondary battery capable of charging and discharging; and a pressure-applying mechanism 120 which applies pressure to at least one surface of the secondary battery cell 110 such that the average surface pressure is at least 1 kgf/cm2, but not more than 3 kgf/cm2.
