The present disclosure provides methods for delivering torque to a workpiece. The present disclosure also provides for apparatuses used to perform the methods of the present disclosure. The apparatuses can include adapters with input and output shafts having an angular difference between their orientations, with the shafts mating with gears such that torque applied to the input shaft is transferred to the output shaft. Limited use devices having soft gears dampen the action in exchange for a limited use device compared to traditional metal geared devices.
