If the body of a capsule is made of resin, the capsule is structurally weak and is used only for evacuation. An evacuation capsule 1 is provided with a box-shaped structure 2 made of steel, a steel door 3 provided at a front section of the structure 2, a weight 4 provided at a rear section of the structure 2, an internal space 5, hooks 6, and a suspension part 7. The weight 4 is formed of concrete and/or a steel sheet. The structure 2 has, for example, a longitudinal size of 2,500 mm, a lateral size of 1,400 mm, and a height of 1,100 mm. The hooks 6 and the suspension part 7 are provided at a front section of the structure 2. The structure 2 has a wall formed by a concrete plate being sandwiched between two or more iron sheets (set to be thinner than the thickness of the concrete). For example, the iron sheet has a thickness of 3 mm, and the concrete plate has a thickness of 6 cm. |
