1. A compound having a formula Ir(LA)(LB)(LC);
wherein the ligand LA, LB, and LC are each a mono-anionic bidentate ligand coordinated to Ir forming a 5-member cyclometalated ring; wherein LA and LB are covalently linked by a linking group; wherein LC is not linked to LA and LB, and has the formula selected from the group consisting of: wherein Z1, Z2, Z3, and Z4 are carbon or nitrogen; wherein RA and RB each independently represent mono, di, tri, or tetra-substitution, or no substitution; wherein each of RA, RB, RX, RY, and RZ are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, deuterium, halide, alkyl, cycloalkyl, heteroalkyl, arylalkyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, amino, silyl, alkenyl, cycloalkenyl, heteroalkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, heteroaryl, acyl, carbonyl, carboxylic acids, ester, nitrile, isonitrile, sulfanyl, sulfinyl, sulfonyl, phosphino, and combinations thereof; and wherein any adjacent substituents of RA, RB, RX, RY, and RZ are optionally joined or fused into a ring. |
