The claimed multi-layered element with variable optical properties relates to optical engineering and is intended for the manufacture of translucent structures. The result is a simplified design. The multi-layered element with variable optical properties contains, superimposed on one another and hermetically sealed around the edge, a first sheet (1) and a second sheet (2). At least a portion of the surface of the first sheet adjacent to the surface of the second sheet is made rigid. At least a portion of the surface of the second sheet adjacent to the surface of the first sheet is made elastic. The elastic portions of the second sheet at least partially abut the rigid portions of the first sheet, and, in this area, one of the sheets is made to be matte and the other is made to be transparent. One of the sheets in this area is provided with channels (3).
