The present invention comprises: a plurality of sensing units provided respectively to one or more battery modules of a battery pack so as to sense a gas discharged from a battery cell of a corresponding battery module; a control unit for selecting a sensed value, which is the largest among sensed values of the respective sensing units, determining the level of the selected sensed value according to the largeness of the sensed value, and controlling an operation of a peripheral device on the basis of a corresponding level; and a switch unit provided on a connection path of the battery pack and an external power source, and performing ON and OFF operations according to a signal of the control unit. |
