The present invention addresses a problem that it is difficult to apply technology developed in the field of iris authentication to authentication of objects such as industrial products and commodities. The object identifier extraction device has an imaging unit and an extraction unit. The imaging unit captures an image of an object with a random pattern printed on a surface thereof. The extraction unit extracts, as identification information of the object, features of an annular image area including the random pattern out of the captured object image.
