A pickup (1) according to the present embodiment is used in a string instrument and converts the vibration of a string (8) into an electrical signal. The pickup comprises: a piezoelectric sensor (10) including at least one piezoelectric element (11) provided corresponding to the number of strings (8), a first electrode (13a) arranged on the string side of the piezoelectric element (11), and a second electrode (13b) arranged opposite the first electrode (13a); wiring (20) electrically connected to the piezoelectric sensor (10); and a cap (50a) including a protective portion (53) covering a portion where the piezoelectric sensor (10) is in contact with the string (8), and an arm portion (51) formed integrally with the protective portion (53) and locked onto the string instrument together with the string (8). |
