Disclosed is a preparation method for a black-pearlescent pigment, comprising the following steps: (1) mixing 100 parts of base material and deionized water to form a suspension liquid with a solid-to-liquid ratio of 1:(5-15), stirring well and heating the suspension liquid to 65°C to 85°C, and adjusting the pH of the suspension liquid to 6.0 to 8.0 with hydrochloric acid; (2) adding 10 to 50 parts of mixture solution of a copper salt and a chromium salt corresponding to copper oxide and chrome oxide, the molar ratio of copper oxide and chrome oxide being 1:0.5-2, maintaining the pH to be constant with an alkali, and after adding the materials, stirring for 15 minutes at a constant temperature; and (3) filtering, washing, drying, and calcinating the suspension liquid formed in the foregoing steps to obtain the black-pearlescent pigment. The pigment prepared in the present invention has high blackness, strong pearlescent luster, and good corrosion resistance, high-temperature resistance, outdoor stability, and migration resistance.
