PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass plate production apparatus which is suitable for preventing deformation of a container made of a platinum group metal and constituting the clarification vessel and suppresses thining of the container.SOLUTION: A clarification vessel 30 for removal of bubbles in molten glass 5 is made of a platinum group metal and includes a container 1 containing the molten glass 5, a refractory support 7 supporting the container 1 and a refractory fiber layer 2 arranged between the container 1 and the refractory support 7 in such a way as to come into contact with the outer periphery of the container 1 and the refractory support 7. The container 1 has a coating layer 1a arranged on the outer periphery and made of a refractory oxide formed by flame spray. The refractory fiber layer 2 allows expansion of the container 1 against the refractory support 7 through sliding and deformation of the refractory fiber layer 2 in the boundary surface and shrinkage of the refractory fiber layer 2. |
