The invention relates to a method for producing a damper tube (10) for a vibration damper (1) and such a vibration damper (1). The damper tube (10) has a composite fiber material, and a load introducing element (11) is integrated at at least one end face of the damper tube (10). According to the invention, the method has at least the following steps: providing a core element (12) with an axial extension and applying a coating (13) onto the core element (12); arranging the load introducing element (11) on the core element (12), said load introducing element having an outer surface (14) on which projections (15) are attached; wrapping the coating (13) with a wrapping material using a wrapping process, thereby forming at least one wrap layer (16); weaving the wrap layer (16) and at least partly the outer surface (14) comprising the projections (15) with a weaving material using a weaving process, thereby forming a weave layer (17); and introducing a matrix into the wrap layer (16) and/or the weave layer (17) using a resin injection method.
