CONSTITUTION: A driving device 10 is used for an image reader (100) and moves a scanning unit (32) for reading an image on a document reciprocally. The driving device 10 comprises: a traction member 40; a driving pulley (36) transmitting driving force to the traction member 40; a driven pulley 38 imparting tension to the traction member 40; and a pulley holder 42 having a pulley shaft 44 retaining the driven pulley 38 rotatably. The pulley shaft 44 has a lock claw 56 which can lock an upper-end part of the driven pulley 38 and also tilts toward the shaft center through elastic deformation to unlock the driven pulley 38. Further, the lock claw 56 is arranged more on a side in a direction of tension operation from the traction member 40 to the driven pulley 38 than a position farthest away from the driven pulley (36) among peripheral positions of the pulley shaft 44.EFFECT: A driven pulley can be easily attached and detached during maintenance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
