PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compactly arrange an actuator around an engine body in a variable valve device of an internal combustion engine for a saddle-type vehicle, in which a pressing rod transmitting a pressing force from an actuator mounted to the engine body comes into contact with a coupling pin for switching coupling and release of coupling of first and second rocker arms, and a boss for a stud bolt fastened with the stud bolt coupling a cylinder head and a cylinder block with a crank case is provided on the cylinder head.SOLUTION: A bolt fastening face 121a of a boss 121 for a stud bolt is arranged so that a top part of a stud bolt 87 is positioned nearer a cylinder block than a center axial line C3 of a pressing rod 104 in a direction along a cylinder axial line C. The top part of the stud bolt 87 is arranged so that it is overlaid on at least one part of an actuator when seen from the direction along the cylinder axial line C. |
